For beer number 5 I decided to mix it up and step away from the Bootlegger’s beers for a minute. I saw the label for The Bruery’s BURLY GOURD and knew it would be right up my alley. Boy was I right!
Burly Gourd is part of the Bruery’s Provisions Series. This Milk/Sweet Stout has an unholy 6.66% ABV.
My roommate brought a growler of Hollister’s Chocolate Milk Stout home with him the last time he went up to visit his girlfriend’s mom and I was more than willing to help him finish it. Chocolate Milk Stout is, you guessed it, a Milk/Sweet Stout from Goleta, California’s Hollister Brewing Company. This rotating-selection beer has a 6.2% ABV.
Left Hand Milk Stout is only the second milk stout I’ve ever tried (the first being Southern Tier Crème Brûlée) and this was once again picked up while on vacation in the midwest. This milk/sweet stout has a miniscule 25 IBUs and a slightly above average 6% ABV.
