O’Hara’s Irish Red (Carlow Brewing Co.)

Look at this, two date appropriate posts in one day. Hooray for me! Enough self congratulations. Often times my roommate and I will each by beer and trade a couple. In this case I picked up the O’Hara’s Irish Stout and he the O’HARA’S IRISH RED. Since they were four packs we decided we’d go two and two apiece. Now that I’ve had then both I’m unsure which I prefer.

O’Hara’s Irish Red is an Irish Red Ale with a poundable 4.3% ABV.

Pursuit of Hoppiness (Grand Teton Brewing Co.)

Pursuit of Hoppiness is an American Red Ale originally brewed as part of Grand Teton’s 2009 “Cellar Reserve Series“. This bottle-conditioned ale has a huge (for the style ) 100 IBUs and an 8% ABV.

Jolly Rodger 2010 (Drake’s Brewing)

CHRISTMAS IN JULY Beer #4: JOLLY RODGER 2010

Drake’s Brewing’s Jolly Rodger 2010 is another beer that I received for Christmas. This Imperial Red Ale was their winter seasonal and clocked in at 8.0% ABV with 68 IBUs.

My Bloody Valentine (Alesmith Brewing Company)

With another Valentine’s Day in our rearview mirrors, I felt that I should get around to writing up my review of the seasonal brew, My Bloody Valentine. This red ale is available in February and has a “fitting” 6.66% ABV.

Bell’s Brewery

The last time I was back in the mid-west I made a detour to Kalamazoo Michigan and stopped into Bell’s Brewery.  They had numerous beers on tap at the Eccentric Cafe, so I pulled up a seat at the bar and dove right in!
