Heavy Weizen (Southern Tier Brewing Company)

Heavy Weizen is part of the Seasonal Imperial series from Southern Tier Brewing Company.  The website claims that this Imperial Hefeweizen has a 7.3% ABV, but the bottle that I purchased claimed it was 8% ABV.

Pomegranate Wheat (Saranac Brewery)

Day 4 of July’s SARANAC BREWERY THEME WEEK.

Today’s Saranac beer is their Amber Wheat.  They call it a dunkelweizen, but Beer Advocate refers to it as a Dark Wheat Ale.  Either way, this amber-colored brew clocks it at a 4.8% ABV.
