I awoke early Tuesday morning and grabbed a quick bite to eat from the hotel’s continental breakfast. With some “food” in my stomach and loaded up the car and headed south. I was looking at +/- 14 hours of driving that day, so I didn’t want to dilly-dally.

It’s not very often that I actually remember to take my growler with me when I go to a brewery, but since my trip to Russian River was part of a mini-vacation I had
double tripled checked everything before leaving. Because of this I was able to score two liters of their English bitter, DON THE YOUNGER. (I don’t know if it was on purpose, but the bartender wrote THE YOUNGER really big on the tag, with a tiny Don in front of it, and my roommate freaked out. Sadly, I had to tell him that it wasn’t actually Pliney the Younger and it was either a horrible mistake or just a sick joke.)
Don the Younger is an English bitter with 37 IBUs and a 5.65% ABV.
