10° Below (Scuttlebutt Brewing Company)

10° BELOW was my first taste from Washington’s Scuttlebutt Brewing Company. This winter seasonal is brewed in the Weizenbock style (or as they call it “Imperial Dunkelweiss”), which I found to be rather interesting and original.

10° Below has 22 IBUs and a surprisingly 7.4% ABV.

Aventinus (Private Weissbierbrauerei G. Schneider & Sohn)

It’s time for another Schneider & Sohn weizenbock review. Today’s review is for the oldest wheat doppelbock in Bavaria, Aventinus. This 100+ year-old beer has a 8.2% ABV.

Ladyface Weizenbock is the autumn seasonal from Agora Hills’s Ladyface Alehouse. This Oktoberfest ale was on tap during the Ladyface 1st Anniversary week and has a 8.9% ABV.

Hopfen-Weisse (Schneider-Brooklyner)

Hopfen-Weisse is part of a collaboration between Germany’s Schneider Brewery and New York’s Brooklyn Brewing Company.  Each brewery made this beer using the same recipe, but locally grown ingredients.  This review is for the Schneider version and it has a 8.2% ABV.
