2010 was my “Year of Sour Beer” and St. Louis Framboise was one that I had seen around, but never actually tasted. So, once I saw it on tap at my local BBQ restaurant I knew I had to try it. St. Louis Framboise is a raspberry lambic from Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck out of Ingelmunster, Belgium. This refreshing dessert beer comes in at a meager 4.5% ABV.

Transatlantique Kriek (New Belgium Brewing)
Welcome to the first day of September’s THEME WEEK! This month we’re trying ales from Fort Collins, Colorado’s New Belgium Brewing Company. Day 1’s brew: Transatlantique Kriek.
Transatlantique Kriek was part of New Belgium’s Lips of Faith series (sadly, it’s no longer brewed). This spontaneously fermented lambic ale has an 8% ABV.
