I picked up this bottle when I made the trip to Oregon last October, so I’ll admit I was a little peeved when I realized that you could easily get this beer here in LA. Doh! Anyway, once I cracked open this bottle I knew it was worth the time/money/wait.
THE STOIC is a Belgian Quadrupel with 20 IBUs and a reserved 11% ABV.
Three Philosophers is one of the year-round ales from Cooperstown, New York’s Brewery Ommegang. The bottle refers to this Belgian Quadrupel as “98% ale – 2% with cherries added”. This bottle was probably about 9 months old when I consumed it (it was from 2009), but the original ABV is an enlightening 9.8% ABV.
1st Anniversary Ale was brewed to celebrate Ladyface Alehouse’s (you guessed it!) first anniversary. This Belgian Quadrupel has a whopping 11% ABV.
