Russian Lullaby is a Russian Imperial Stout brewed for Ladyface’s first anniversary celebration. This special release beer as a 9.9% ABV.
Bittersweet chocolate and fruity plum aromas explode off the top of this jet black ale with a rich brown head. Complex roasted malts, sweet biscuit and Northwest hops make this a full-bodied brew. Drinkable enough to have more than one, but be careful, it will rock your cradle.
Russian Lullaby pours a deep brown with mild chocolate highlights. No light gets through this inky liquid.
Smell is dominated by dark chocolate and grains (oat and barley). Faint caramel sweetness and coffee scents are also present.
The taste is full of dark malts, then coffee, then baker’s chocolate. The coffee and chocolate fight for dominance.
Mouthfeel is medium with plenty o’ drying. Lots of bite and fizziness are also presence.
A great blend of coffee and chocolate, Russian Lullaby walks the line between coffee stout and Russian imperial stout. If you ever find that you can’t decided between the two, just reach for a Russian Lullaby.
